Arrival in Accra (Ghana)
Warm greetings for having arrived in the beautiful city will be conveyed as well as an orientation within 20 minutes after check-in. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay at the hotel.
Tour of Accra City
We will visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president. The casket shop is next in line, where beautiful caskets are crafted according to the profession of the deceased.
We’ll have lunch in the city, and then drive to Jamestown where you can experience one of the oldest suburbs of Accra. Known as a fishing town, the suburb houses many people who are skilled in fishing. We’ll come back at the end of the long day to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Volta Boat Cruise Tour
The day will end with a delicious dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Ada Foah Tour
It is a beautiful island beach, quite near to Volta Lake estuary – our next destination. The cruising will continue on for another 2-3 hours. After the walk back to the beach camp you will have plenty of time to enjoy as you wish.
You will be able to take part in many activities, such as volleyball, football and tug of war but you can also sit back and relax on the beautiful beach. Take pictures of the spectacular sunset, right before having dinner and an overnight stay at the beach camp.
Here we will stop at the Dutch trading post at Cape Coast Castle which was built in 1637. Wonder at the graveyard, a place where Europeans died while working in the castle. Next are the segregated dungeons that held 1000 men and 100 women every month at a given time.
We will also visit the West African Historical Museum, established by the Smithsonian Institute and located right inside the castle. Taking a brief stop for lunch, we will continue towards Elmina Castle – the oldest piece of architecture built in 1482. This is a point of interest mainly because African slaves were traded here in exchange for guns and gunpowder, mirrors, textiles and other needed items.
Kakum National Park Tour – Busua Beach Resort
High above the jungle floor, you will have an amazing view of the entire rainforest’s thriving ecosystem as well as the flora and fauna scattered throughout the park. Walking through the forest is an adventure in itself – showing glimpses of various species of birds, butterflies and insects.
We will leave for Busua Beach Resort soon after, having lunch on the way and arriving just before sunset. Rest of the day can be spent relaxing on the beach and admiring the sunset, then a yummy dinner and overnight stay.

Dinner will be served at the resort, you can explore a bit before making way towards your hotel for the night.
Nzulezu Stilt Village
As the name suggests, the village is built upon Lake Tadane and features many stilts and wooden platforms as walking ground. In fact, Nzulezu is only of two villages in West Africa and such attract a lot of attention and tourists from all over the world.
People who live here are mostly fishermen and farmers. You will get to experience their daily life firsthand – village activities and how school children have to ride a canoe in order to reach school. The exciting day ends with a drive back to the hotel, a delicious dinner and an overnight stay.
Journey Back to Accra City
You can spend the rest of the day inside the hotel or whatever you want to do. Dinner will be served at the hotel as well as overnight stay.
