
Fredrick B. Frimpong
Founder & CE0Fredrick B. Frimpong, or Fred, born and raised in a small village Berekum-Senase, Ghana, traveled to over 35 countries, studied in 7 different universities in 5 countries. Fred’s education started at the Hotel Catering and Tourism Institute at Greenhill College in Accra, Ghana. Fred started his first social enterprise, Can Do Tours, at the age of 18.
In September of 2011, he enrolled in the University of Ghana, Legon. After just two weeks in Legon, he was awarded a full scholarship by the Ghanaian government to study in Turkey. He then studied the Turkish language for seven months at Ankara University before starting his main courses in International Trade and Finance at Istanbul University. In September of 2013, Fred had the opportunity to attend Hult International Business School in London, where he studied Social Entrepreneurship.
While at Hult, Fred founded and ran a charity club with the goal of improving education in various countries throughout the world, for which he was awarded Best New Club on campus at the end of the year. Fred took a one-year from Hult to study at The University of San Diego in San Diego, California and finished his studies at Hult.
A Semester before graduation, Fred was offered the opportunity to establish Uber in Ghana, which he did successfully for a year and 7 months. After which he resigned to focus on what he loves, which are Education and Tourism.
With Fred’s vision of using tourism to develop rural communities whiles offering authentic experience to travelers. Over the years CanDo has impacted several communities through the donation of school uniforms, student sponsorships and build two schools in two rural villages in Ghana.
